HAUNTED NAVAL ACADEMY?

In the town of lake Elsinore California, nestled against the Ortega mountains. sits a building that was built in the 20's as a country club, but has seen several changes over the years. it was rumored that Bela Lugosi Jr attended when it was the naval academy. it was a bible college when the doors closed. then in the coming years the rumors of ghosts began to hatch. tales of lights and noises and figures walking cross the yard in the middle of the night. so my team of paranormal investigators made a mad dash for the building, after getting permission from the grounds keepers to investigate the property. we quickly sat out armed to the teeth with all the gadgets and gizmo's that are required to contact the spirits that occupy the dwelling. upon entering the building we made it a point to get ourselves familiar with the grounds. and let me say this place is giant. and we only had one entrance and exit. its multi level with hundreds of rooms and a very large and very creepy basement.

my time with ravelli an Irwin keyes interview

If you’re a fan of the horror genre as I am then you undoubtedly are familiar with the name IRWIN KEYES, Irwin has been in the business since the late 70’s, and since then has quite a few heavy titles to his belt. He’s starred in TV and film, some of the most well known being, FRIDAY THE 13TH, THE WARRIORS,ZAPPED,CHAINED HEAT, TALES FROM THE CRYPT, both FILNTSTONES FILMS, INTOLERABE CRUELTY, and THE HOUSE OF A 1000 CORPSES, the list literally goes on.
Irwin always brings something special to every single one of his roles, for example in the COEN BROTHERS film intolerable cruelty, wheezy Joe’s climactic exit is the
I have had the pleasure on several occasions to meet Irwin, and chat with him, and he is one of the most genuine and endearing people I have ever met. Irwin takes the time to talk to his fans and shares the stories of his experiences in the industry, to let you know just what kid of person he is, when my daughter was born he sent her a beautiful present and postcard. Now she’s older I told her sent her the gift and showed her his films and she’s very proud of it.
I recently had a chance to interview Irwin about his life on and off the screen so on behalf of bloodytruth here it is-
BT- How did you get into acting?
IK- I DISCOVERED IN COLLEGE I COULD ACT.
BT- what else did you wanna be before acting came into your life?
IK- I WAS IN NO MANS LAND. I HAD NO IDEA WHAT I WANTED TO DO WITH MY LIFE. I HAD NO DIRECTION IN LIFE UNTIL I DID PLAYS IN COLLEGE. I THOUGHT I WAS PRETTY GOOD.
BT- When reading a script, what helps make your decision to do a film?
IK- THE DECISION IS MADE LONG BEFORE I REALLY GET TO READ A SCRIPT. i GET THE PART FIRST. NO ONE SAYS NO THESE DAYS OF LITTLE WORK.
BT- Since being an actor, have you found it hard to find friends that were loyal to you and not just the actor Irwin Keyes?
IK- I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN LUCKY WITHJ FRIENDS. CAN YOU EVER HAVE TOO MANY FRIENDS?
BT- of course not friends are great things to have in our lives.
BT- Are there any other avenues in the entertainment industry you like to try, producing, directing, and writing?
IK- I HAVE BEEN WRITING SCRIPTS FOR YEARS. MY LATEST IS A DOG SCRIPT. A COMEDY, "KEEP THAT DOG ALIVE.''
BT- Why wasn't the role of ravelli reprised in the devils rejects, (in my opinion the character's absence was missed in the film).
IK- ASK ROB ZOMBIE THE WRITER OF DEVILS YADDA...
BT- The last time we talked you were writing a book on your experiences in
IK- THE BOOK IS STILL IN THE WORKS...
BT- What movies does Irwin Keyes enjoy watching?
IK- THE ORIGINAL PRODUCERS, JOHN WAYNES THE SEARCHERS, TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD, YANKEE DOODLE DANDY AND PSYCHO.
BT- Do you feel that the fans of the horror genre are more loyal than those of mainstream film?
IK- HORROR FANS ARE THE BEST. TV SHOWS FANS ARE LOYAL, BUT NOT HORROR FANS.
BT- What advice would you give an actor trying to get his break in film?
IK- PLAYS PLAYS AND DO MORE PLAYS. LEARN YOUR CRAFT. DON'T FOLLOW THE FAST MONEY...
BT- what advice would you give a director about to start his first film, (when dealing with actors).
IK- if I HAD AN IDEA I WOULD ASK HIM IN A NICE WAY. LET HIM THINK IT WAS HIS IDEA...
BT- Do you look forward to all the horror shows each year?
IK- I DON'T DO ALOT OF HORROR SHOWS ONLY SELECT SHOWS.
IK- COMICON IN
Thank you so much Irwin for your time, you’re the best. And you guys remember to check out his FACEBOOK page, and his IMDB.
