From the vault- Cannibal ! the musical

cannibal! the musical tells the story of Alfred packer the only man ever convicted cannibalism in the united states. This beautiful retelling is done by south park creators Matt stone and Trey parker. The jokes are clever and they are delivered fast, also the sight gags are incredibly funny as well. The songs that are featured in the film were written by Trey parker and are great fun to listen to. the troma duo Lloyd Kaufman and Michael Herz had the good sense to release this film, and thank god they did. The movie is perfect in every way, from the classic splatter gore to the dynamics of the actors.the film is now celebrating its 13th anniversary. if you have never seen this movie i suggest you do so, if your a fan of troma, south park, gore, or all three then you cant lose.cannibal is one of the best non south park films the boys have ever done, right behind hit being baseketball. check it out!!!

Adam greens films are a breath of fresh air to the horror genre.his talent is natural, you can tell when you watch a film like hatchet, its original, well written, the cast is amazing.it has the right amount of humor and the gore is a homage to classic 80's films. That's whats wrong with a lot of the films of today, the CG is just to much, you cant get past the "oh yeah that was CG", so the film actually suffers, but the right blend of CG and classic effects are perfect.
Adam is spot on with his films.hatchet has clearly a cult classic, and now with its sequel on the horizon Adams star will do nothing but rise. I sat in on the panel for hatchet 2 at the weekend of horrors this past may,and let me say the cast he assembled for the H2 project is just as impressive as the first, where else are you gonna get Freddy, Leatherface and Candyman all together in one great movie. Adams films are truly something special.

HAUNTED NAVAL ACADEMY?

In the town of lake Elsinore California, nestled against the Ortega mountains. sits a building that was built in the 20's as a country club, but has seen several changes over the years. it was rumored that Bela Lugosi Jr attended when it was the naval academy. it was a bible college when the doors closed. then in the coming years the rumors of ghosts began to hatch. tales of lights and noises and figures walking cross the yard in the middle of the night. so my team of paranormal investigators made a mad dash for the building, after getting permission from the grounds keepers to investigate the property. we quickly sat out armed to the teeth with all the gadgets and gizmo's that are required to contact the spirits that occupy the dwelling. upon entering the building we made it a point to get ourselves familiar with the grounds. and let me say this place is giant. and we only had one entrance and exit. its multi level with hundreds of rooms and a very large and very creepy basement.

on our first investigation we split up into a few groups and started filming in night vision and doing evp work. i heard a very clear voice of a man what sounded like kicking rocks and mumbling. but when we charged the sound we found nothing. in the basement of of the team members was pulled back while walking another when he was alone in the basement taunting his arm was grabbed, and one of the female investigators was touched on the neck in front of me, and i watched with my own eyes as a scratch formed on the back of her neck.some of the evps revealed a woman communication with a team member, when he said you dont have to be afraid of me she replied "i know" the stills revealed only a few orbs or dust.

on the second part of the investigation another female team mate and i were in a large room where there were two big fireplaces on either side of the room. we both heard a large bang on one of the boarded up doors. and she began feeling very light headed almost nauseous.it seems that almost all of us there had some sort of paranormal experience all in all it was very cool night. this one and a few others will be part of our documentary titled: fearless\les\adj: you can also check out our Facebook page under the same name

paranormal fun!!!

so my team of paranormal investigators and i just got back from an outing here close to our home, its rumored to be the home of TVs Tarzan.so after about a 20 minute hike up a dreadful hill, battling spiderwebs and sticker bushes, we finally arrived at out destination, armed with only a flashlight and a smile.

you see this house is not ever been deemed haunted.so after the initial scouting of the landscape, looking for not ghosts but squatters and bums you now the classier side of society, we found out we were cool there, because i think we were the only ones brave, yeah lets say brave cause stupid is so final, to make the trek through foothills of the deliverance hillbillies. after searching the almost 4000 square foot home all we found was a bunch of rat turds and porn mags.

but true to our form of being natural entertainers we were hit with an idea of not letting this trip go to waste, so we dawned our thinking caps and concocted a beautiful spoof of a paranormal investigation. and let me say we in no way at all take an actual investigation as a joke, but we are the most 100% professional team out there. sometimes though its nice to poke fun at everything.we will be editing the short soon and you will get to see our magic at work...

my time with ravelli an Irwin keyes interview

If you’re a fan of the horror genre as I am then you undoubtedly are familiar with the name IRWIN KEYES, Irwin has been in the business since the late 70’s, and since then has quite a few heavy titles to his belt. He’s starred in TV and film, some of the most well known being, FRIDAY THE 13TH, THE WARRIORS,ZAPPED,CHAINED HEAT, TALES FROM THE CRYPT, both FILNTSTONES FILMS, INTOLERABE CRUELTY, and THE HOUSE OF A 1000 CORPSES, the list literally goes on.

Irwin always brings something special to every single one of his roles, for example in the COEN BROTHERS film intolerable cruelty, wheezy Joe’s climactic exit is the high point of the entire film, and truly one of the funniest original scenes in any film. And who could forget the CAPTAIN SPAULDINGS psychotic henchman in house of a 1000 corpses, who could forget the scene when RAVELLI is pushing the cart through the tour and messing with the girl’s hair, or when he burst through the door to deliver the final whack with a sledge hammer. I could go on all day with these Stories.

I have had the pleasure on several occasions to meet Irwin, and chat with him, and he is one of the most genuine and endearing people I have ever met. Irwin takes the time to talk to his fans and shares the stories of his experiences in the industry, to let you know just what kid of person he is, when my daughter was born he sent her a beautiful present and postcard. Now she’s older I told her sent her the gift and showed her his films and she’s very proud of it.

I recently had a chance to interview Irwin about his life on and off the screen so on behalf of bloodytruth here it is-

BT- How did you get into acting?

IK- I DISCOVERED IN COLLEGE I COULD ACT.

BT- what else did you wanna be before acting came into your life?

IK- I WAS IN NO MANS LAND. I HAD NO IDEA WHAT I WANTED TO DO WITH MY LIFE. I HAD NO DIRECTION IN LIFE UNTIL I DID PLAYS IN COLLEGE. I THOUGHT I WAS PRETTY GOOD.

BT- When reading a script, what helps make your decision to do a film?

IK- THE DECISION IS MADE LONG BEFORE I REALLY GET TO READ A SCRIPT. i GET THE PART FIRST. NO ONE SAYS NO THESE DAYS OF LITTLE WORK.

BT- Since being an actor, have you found it hard to find friends that were loyal to you and not just the actor Irwin Keyes?

IK- I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN LUCKY WITHJ FRIENDS. CAN YOU EVER HAVE TOO MANY FRIENDS?

BT- of course not friends are great things to have in our lives.

BT- Are there any other avenues in the entertainment industry you like to try, producing, directing, and writing?

IK- I HAVE BEEN WRITING SCRIPTS FOR YEARS. MY LATEST IS A DOG SCRIPT. A COMEDY, "KEEP THAT DOG ALIVE.''

BT- Why wasn't the role of ravelli reprised in the devils rejects, (in my opinion the character's absence was missed in the film).

IK- ASK ROB ZOMBIE THE WRITER OF DEVILS YADDA...

BT- The last time we talked you were writing a book on your experiences in Hollywood, how is your book coming.

IK- THE BOOK IS STILL IN THE WORKS...

BT- What movies does Irwin Keyes enjoy watching?

IK- THE ORIGINAL PRODUCERS, JOHN WAYNES THE SEARCHERS, TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD, YANKEE DOODLE DANDY AND PSYCHO.

BT- Do you feel that the fans of the horror genre are more loyal than those of mainstream film?

IK- HORROR FANS ARE THE BEST. TV SHOWS FANS ARE LOYAL, BUT NOT HORROR FANS.

BT- What advice would you give an actor trying to get his break in film?

IK- PLAYS PLAYS AND DO MORE PLAYS. LEARN YOUR CRAFT. DON'T FOLLOW THE FAST MONEY...

BT- what advice would you give a director about to start his first film, (when dealing with actors).

IK- if I HAD AN IDEA I WOULD ASK HIM IN A NICE WAY. LET HIM THINK IT WAS HIS IDEA...

BT- Do you look forward to all the horror shows each year?

IK- I DON'T DO ALOT OF HORROR SHOWS ONLY SELECT SHOWS.

IK- COMICON IN SAN DIEGO...IN JULY 22-24 FOR ME, AUGUST 11-13 IN LIVINGSTON TEXAS IS THE UNCOMING HORROR SHOW FRIDAY THE 30TH. 30TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE ORIGINAL FRIDAY THE 13TH. I WAS IN THAT. REALM CON IN TEXAS IN OCT. AND MAYBE THE HALLOWEEN CHILLER SHOW BACK EAST.

Thank you so much Irwin for your time, you’re the best. And you guys remember to check out his FACEBOOK page, and his IMDB.
